Takeo Ohgane received his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. in electronics engineering from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, in 1984, 1986, and 1994. He was with the Communications Research Laboratory of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications from 1986 to 1992. He was on assignment at the ATR Optical and Radio Communications Research Laboratory from 1992 to 1995.
Since 1995, he has been with Hokkaido University, where he is an Associate Professor. He was at the Centre for Communications Research of the University of Bristol, U.K., as a Visiting Fellow from October 2005 to September 2006. He served as Editor-in-Chief of IEICE Transactions on Communications from 2012 to 2014. His interests are in MIMO signal processing for wireless communications.
